Last blog I displayed this "Christmas " cactus blooming. Eleven days later it is still blooming as if it were Christmas. Maybe it is a "George Washington's Birthday" cactus. We could state several other dates in the year when it blooms. Any way it is a joy. Yesterday, we had a house of happiness here with children, grandchildren and great grand children along with Clarine's sister - fifteen of us total. We would have gladly welcomed more, but there were reasons.
We visited and talked and displayed our love and concern for one another. It was a happy time for me. Life is good.
Tonight, Clarine and I are going to the stage production, Beauty and the Beast, presented by Tooele High School. We saw it performed by Grantsville High School a couple of years ago. I don't remember it well enough to make a good comparison.
I heard from every one of my children, some grandchildren and friends yesterday, either by phone, internet or in person. I am now a solid eighty-one years old. I will never see eighty again.
Clarine and I went to the swimming pool in Tooele this morning. It will be closed for cleaning and repairs for three days, so we just went for a drive around the valley - Tooele to Grantsville and thence to I-80 and back to Stansbury Park. We drove more slowly than usual. There were times when I had to speed up to avoid causing problems, but it was a happy drive. gwh
